Apollo is getting to be quite interactive. Right after he finished up his breakfast, I laid him down on Mimi's couch and surrounded him with pillows so he'd stay put and started making eyes for the camera - a really good shot of his eyes in fact. You can clearly tell here that they are indeed brown. They may be a little hazel or have hazel tendencies, but the base color and main color is definitely brown.
This is becoming a very common sight lately. Orion has really gotten bad with throwing toys - of all types. Not just balls, but action figures and blocks. And it's really getting on everyone's nerves. Popping his hand when he launches the toys just isn't cutting it and I personally do not feel like hovering over my child, hand at the ready for popping is going to solve anything. It's going to make sure I never get anything done and he's going to fear me - not what I want. I want popping his hand to be an immediate response and quick, not for repeated offenses, which it seems like that's what the throwing is becoming. So...we are now attempting a combination of time-outs that get progressively longer up to 5 minutes and then finally, we just take his toys away for the day and he isn't allowed to have them back. I hope either the throwing stops soon or we can channel his throwing into something productive...
